Sendinblue Review: one of the best values in the world of email.

SendInblue is extremely easy to use, offers white label functionality, has extensive integrations, includes a free option, has Shopify integration (take that Mailchimp), and is absolutely one of the best bangs for the buck in the email marketing world.

Sendinblue doesn't include social media/sales conversion data. The templates available could use some freshening up.

Sendinblue is one hell of an option for small or medium-sized organizations because it’s easy to use, has an excellent integration list, highly-competitive pricing, and all-inclusive support.

Let me tell you why I like Sendinblue.

I’m a child of the 80s. You will find me to be one of those millennials that has a love-hate relationship with technology. I use it all the time, in both my career and personal life, but it is always with a slight reluctance to adopt a new platform, trending application, or the latest social media idea. 

So why am I writing a review on an email marketing campaign platform? Because I want to show you how easy it is to use Sendinblue, converting even the most reluctant of users (like myself).

Whether you’re a tech savant or a business owner that needs an email marketing service who doesn’t really want to fuss with learning yet another platform, then Sendinblue is for you. Not only is Sendinblue one of the leaders in email marketing, but its platform is designed to make it irresistibly easy to construct, send, and manage your email marketing campaigns. 

If the clean layout or streamlined process doesn’t sell you, the friendly emojis and gifs sprinkled throughout their communication certainly will. 

Basically, if you’re new to the game and have first-timer nerves, or even if you’re a longtime business owner with fading passion, Sendinblue will find a way to get you in the mood.  

But don’t get it twisted, Sendinblue also is the perfect match for even the most experienced digital marketers. 

That’s the beauty of this platform — trademark adaptability to all types of users, with high functionality and integration options. 

No matter your level of experience, love/hate of tech, or business size, Sendinblue is a valuable marketing tool that saves you time and helps you get your product or service in front of your demographic.

A little backstory on Sendinblue.

Founded in 2012 by Armand Thiberge and Kapil Sharma, Sendinblue has offices in Paris (headquarters), Delhi, Seattle, and Berlin. They currently serve over 80,000 businesses and have a leg up on Mailchimp due to their features, price points, and outstanding customer support, sending 100 million emails a day for their clients. 

What makes Sendinblue initially stand out to me is its highly competitive and straight-forward pricing model. While other platforms tend to be more vague about pricing levels, Sendinblue utilizes consistent pricing that scales with your business growth. And, you pay based on the number of emails you send, not the number of contacts on your database. 

Your first 2,000 contacts are free, and you get 300 free emails a day with the free version. Of course, you can upgrade to Premium or Enterprise account levels at any time, but their marketing automation is free at all levels, up to 2,000 contacts. As an added benefit, when a business reaches the 350k+ email level, Sendinblue even provides a unique IP address for the company’s exclusive use. Seninblue shines for their transaction email service (for purchases, receipts, subscriptions/unsubscriptions) and their deliverability, saving you time and money. 

Here’s what I found on my test drive of Sendinblue.

I found Sendinblue to be very user-friendly in constructing my first campaign. Within the platform, they provide templates for your use, but you can also construct your own designs within or without their tools, and implement them manually. 

Putting together your contact list and campaign lists is extremely easy. You have several options for doing this. You can manually enter names and addresses, if your campaign is tiny— but if not, you can upload a file of your contacts, integrate embedded contact forms, or upload contact information from your landing page. 

Sendinblue provides a number of integrations that can easily synchronize your contact lists. There’s also a valuable feature that allows you to store your blacklist contacts, to ensure you don’t ever send a campaign to anyone who has opted out in the past. This is very important for keeping your open rates high. 

Once your contacts are implemented, and your content is ready, it is time to send your campaign. You have the option of sending it immediately or scheduling it for a future time/date. When you purchase the premium version, there is a third option that allows you to access their resources to discern the best time to send your campaign, based on your target audience demographic. This is a premium feature that will prove valuable for larger email lists. 

Once your email campaign is set, you can access your stats with ease. It is laid out in clean design, with the most important information at your disposal, enabling you to quickly see how many Recipients you have, as well as how many opens, clicks and unsubscribes.

Sendinblue sends you a confirmation email to let you know your campaign was successfully sent and provides a link for easy access to your campaign report. 

The Sendinblue support system is refreshingly easy to use. You can easily send a ticket with your question and concern. They confirm receipt of your communication through email and uphold their policy of getting back to you in less than 24 hours. 

Sendinblue Pricing: A heck of a deal for email marketing software.

You don’t need to bring ALL of your dollar bills. In fact, Sendinblue pricing has a free try-out service option available. So if you’re shy, or just don’t have enough names on your list, check out the free option that gives you 300 sending emails today. You are able to easily complete a profile, import contacts, and create/schedule your first newsletter all for free.

From there the first price point is $25/month for 60,000 emails all the way up to custom options designed for your particular business.  

Unlike Mailchimp, Sendinblue does support Shopify Integration, making this the ideal choice for eCommerce businesses. 

Sendinblue Support is available in email, chat, and the phone in six languages, making them highly accessible to most major audiences.

Sendinblue is also for anyone who needs to partner with White Label Services, as they provide an extensive option for white label. Even though Sendinblue markets themselves for small to medium customers, their vast features and accessible pricing make them a superior option to MailChimp for any business with a rapidly growing list. 

Who SendInBlue is not for. 

Large organizations with sizeable teams who care about every bell and whistle and not the cost to get them. SendInBlue is catered to the small business in both features and pricing.
